(Click for larger pictures) We still have our Buffalo Shoot on the Fourth Sunday of each month (except in November & December which is the third Sunday) which starts at 1:00 - 1:30 PM. This is a long range rifle shoot. 100 & 200 yards at steel plates using any period rifle (Sharps, High Wall, Rolling Block, Lever action, etc.). Lead bullets are required and we try to keep the velocities down to 1,400 FPS or less. The rules are listed in the pdf file below. We have trophies for each of three classes and have a drawing for a cash prize (Visa gift card) each year at our annual awards lunch. You don’t have to shoot well to win the money, only shoot in a minimum of 7 of 12 matches. The Pitt County Wildlife Club is located in Falkland, NC which is 6 - 7 miles North West of Greenville, NC. The club is located on Route 222 in between Rts 43 & 33, (2/10's of a mile north east from the intersection of Rt. 222 and Rt. 43, where they split into two separate roads). We are right next to the Tar River. Buffalo Shoot 4th Sunday E-mail questions to:
